Moretrench was founded in 1918 by Thomas Moore in Rockaway, New Jersey. The company began manufacturing and leasing Moore's proprietary conveying excavator.

Fast-forward over 100 years, and the small local enterprise that began life as the Moore Trenching Machine Company evolved into Moretrench, specializing in groundwater treatment services and geotechnical solutions.
